What began as a concern for the youth of the Robertson and Langeberg area has developed into not only life changing projects and programs but a world class mountain lodge.
When we first moved to Robertson our dream and vision primarily was to manage a nature reserve with luxury guest accommodation. However, our attention was soon drawn to the dire poverty and hopelessness of the local indigenous people in our surrounding rural communities. More and more the need for interventions that could break the poverty cycle of hopelessness became a part of our concern and vision. Affecting significant change is rarely a once off event, so we started dreaming about how we could facilitate life-long change in the minds and hearts of the people entrusted to our care.
Today we run several ‘Restoring Dignity’ programs with the help of local South Africans and international volunteers and our Leadership Development and Social concern projects continue to grow from strength to strength.

In partnership with Siegmar and Karin Koblitz from Germany, Khanyisa Mountain Lodge, a world class venue was built in 2019.
Today, this fine luxury retreat venue primarily exists for 2 reasons:
- To provide an unforgettable, breakaway retreat for the discerning guest
and traveler
- To support and sustain our social development projects

Accommodation
Khanyisa Mountain Lodge is a world class venue for quality leisure time, as well as conferencing, intimate weddings and special moments, enjoyed in a beautiful natural setting with attractive and comfortable 5 star accommodations. Located just 20 minutes outside of Robertson, South Africa.
"The Lodge" has 6 spacious en-suite bedrooms, each with their own balcony, fireplace and outdoor braai/barbecue. Two of the rooms (Superior Suites) are equipped for self -catering purposes, i.e. each with a small kitchenette.
"The Cottage" comprises 2 separate self-catering units, each with their own wood burning hot tub.
The Lodge dining room can seat 50 people for special occasions. On our beautiful terraced deck with stunning views, you can enjoy the peaceful scenery while taking a splash or energetic swim in our 25 meter swimming pool. In addition to our swimming pool we have 5 hot tubs, perfectly situated at the lodge and cottage for relaxing, fun and romantic moments.
Nature Reserve
Khanyisa Mountain Lodge is a leisurely 2 hour drive from Cape Town, via the town of Robertson in the Western Cape. When you drive through the gates of Khanyisa Mountain Lodge and Nature Reserve, you enter into another world consisting of wide open spaces, magnificent views of Karoo veld and vineyards, surrounded by majestic mountains in the distance.
It is indeed a place where families and friends can escape the maddening pace of city life and enjoy special and unique moments.
